We’re Going to be in a Magazine!

As I posted a couple of weeks ago when I recapped our pizza party, we had a very exciting event yesterday (Nov. 30th). Our Friday Night Dinner group is going to be featured in MIX magazine! MIX is a local food magazine that comes out every month with The Oregonian. It features different recipes, local food and wine events, reviews of restaurants in the Portland area and other fun food and drink related things. They have a special segment called Friday Night Dinner Party where they highlight different groups around Portland (mostly different restaurants) by describing what it is they do and provide recipes for a wonderful dinner party (you can take a look at MIX and check out these dinner parties here).

We will be featured in the March “Comfort Food” issue and last night, we had the dinner the will be in the magazine. I’m not going to share this week’s recipes with you because they’ll be in the magazine along with a great story about what it is we do and why it’s important to us, and some wonderful pictures of our event, taken by one of the photographers from The Oregonian. I will, however, tell you that our dinner was full of recipes from everyone’s family and it was absolutely delicious! There are wonderful stories behind each recipe and I can’t wait for this article to come out so you all can read more about them.

Happy eating, everyone!
